Position Summary |
We are looking for equity-minded applicants who demonstrate a sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds present in our community.
The Accessibility Specialist is primarily responsible for the development and ongoing oversight of reasonable accommodations and other supportive resources related to students academic and co-curricular experiences at the University. Additionally, this position serves as a key agent in promoting equality, empowering advocates, and contributing to an accessible experience for all members of the Bridgewater State University community.
Supervision Received: Reports to the Director, Student Accessibility Services.
Supervision Exercised: May assist in the oversight and professional development of graduate assistants and student employees. This position is an exempt, APA unit position and is subject to the terms of that union agreement. Work Schedule: Monday through Friday 8:00 am – 5:00pm, occasional evenings/weekend This position is located on campus in Bridgewater, MA. This position is be eligible for hybrid / remote work in accordance with BSUremote work policy. |
